Family photos made simple.
Family sessions are a great way to get updated photos without setting aside a whole afternoon. Mini sessions are shorter, about 30 minutes, and take place at one location around Des Moines. You’ll receive 20–30 edited photos in an online gallery where you can download and print your favorites. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the time together.

What to Wear
A few tips for choosing outfits
- Coordinate, but don’t match exactly. Pick a couple of colors that work well together and let everyone choose outfits that fit within that palette.
- Stick with softer, natural colors. Creams, warm neutrals, sage green, rust, and muted blues photograph really well against Iowa’s greenery and fall colors.
- Keep patterns and logos simple. Large logos and busy patterns can be distracting in photos, so it’s best to keep things simple.
- Plan your outfits ahead of time. Choosing everything the night before means one less thing to worry about on the day of your session.

- Timing: Mini sessions last about 30 minutes and take place at the location and time I provide.
- Arrival: Try to arrive about five minutes early so we’re ready to start on time.
- Bringing the whole family? If you’re planning to include grandparents, cousins, or extended family, I offer extended family mini sessions for $295 plus sales tax.
